About Us

Creating Tomorrow College is a new Specialist Post 16 Institution (SPI) for 16-25 year old young adults with SEND, with an unswerving mission to address the employment deficit for adults with learning needs.
England employment facts: 5.1% of adults with a learning disability known to their local authority in England are in paid work (NHS Digital, 2021), London (7%) has the highest proportion of adults with a learning disability known to their local authority in paid employment (NHS Digital, 2020), In England, a higher proportion of men with a learning disability known to their local authority (6.2%) are in paid employment than women with a learning disability known to their local authority (5.3%) (4.8%, NHS Digital, 2020)

The latest statistics indicate that only 5.1% of adults with a learning need are in meaningful employment (NHS Digital, 2021), while close to 65% would like to be. This statistic is both alarming and saddening. Worse still, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, statistics showed that over 80% would have liked to be employed.

We wholeheartedly believe that our students and young adults are more than capable of not only gaining and maintaining employment, but also being an incredible asset to any employer. We recognise that to achieve this we need to not only up-skill our students and young adults, but also support employers to become disability confident, so they are able to reap the rewards of an untapped workforce.

Creating Tomorrow College has a clear 5-year development strategy for growth in both student cohort resources and curriculum offer.
