Curriculum Strands

"Preparing for Adulthood" illustration showing the four strands of Employment, Independent Living, Community Inclusion, and health

Our curriculum offer is based upon the four strands of preparing for adulthood.

The curriculum strands of Employment, Independent Living, Friends, Relationships and Community (formally Community Inclusion) and Health ensure that students maintain a focus on what they need to be successful in adult life by studying content that is meaningful and worthwhile.

Functional Maths, English and ICT are offered to all students at a level that is appropriate to their starting point. Other qualifications and awards are gained based on what is meaningful to achieve success for the identified outcome.
