Local MP Gen Kitchen Visits Creating Tomorrow College in Wellingborough

    Published 30/10/25

We were delighted to welcome local MP Gen Kitchen to our Wellingborough campus at Chester House Estate on Friday, 17th October.

The visit was a fantastic opportunity to share how we support our learners into meaningful employment – and to celebrate the strong partnerships we’ve built with local employers and our wider community.

A Warm Welcome from Our Learners

Our learners were ready to welcome Gen from the moment she arrived. They proudly led her on a guided tour of Chester House Estate, showcasing the wide range of real-world work experience opportunities available on site.

From hospitality to grounds maintenance, learners spoke with enthusiasm about how their placements help them grow in confidence, develop independence, and gain valuable skills for the future.

Gen was keen to get involved too – even stepping behind the bar to help learners pour a pint at the Hay Barn Café and Bar! She then met with the Chester House team to hear first-hand about their experiences of supporting our learners and the positive impact they bring to the workplace.

    Celebrating Success Stories

During the visit, Gen met Max, one of our former learners who has now moved into paid employment with GXO, and Zac, who has joined the Chester House team as a valued staff member.

Their stories perfectly highlight what our five-day-a-week, employment-focused programmes are all about – giving young people the confidence, skills, and support to succeed in work and beyond.

    Learners Leading the Conversation

Our learners also had the chance to turn the tables and ask Gen questions about the issues that matter most to them. She listened with genuine interest, sharing how she continues to champion opportunities for young people with SEND to enter and thrive in the workplace.

Creating Tomorrow College at Amazon Got Music 2025

    Published 17/04/25

We’re thrilled to announce that Creating Tomorrow College will be taking part in Amazon Got Music 2025 – returning for its second year as a celebration of creativity, confidence, and the incredible talent within the SEND community.

    A Stage to Shine

For our learners, this isn't just a performance - it's a moment to step into the spotlight and show the world what's possible when the right support, opportunity, and encouragement come together. Amazon Got Music celebrates confidence, creativity, and the belief that every young person deserves the chance to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

    What It Means to Us

At Creating Tomorrow College, community engagement isn't just an extra - it's at the heart of everything we do. Events like this bring learning to life, allowing our students to experience something magical beyond the classroom.

From rehearsing to setting up, every step of this journey has been a learning experience. It's about more than the performance itself - it's about teamwork, self-belief, and the joy of achieving something together.

    Meet Our Stars

We couldn't be prouder of every learner taking part in this event - both on stage and behind the scenes. Weather performing, or helping with the set, each student has contributed something unique.

We can't wait to watch their hard work pay off as they share their performance with family, friends, and the wider community.

    Thank You

A huge thank you to Amazon for helping make this event possible. Through Amazon Got Music initiative, communities come together to celebrate the power of inclusion.

Partnerships like this show what can be achieved when organisations believe in young people with SEND - opening doors, raising awareness, and inspiring to see potential, not barriers.
