How old do I have to be to attend Creating Tomorrow College?

Learners must be aged 18-25 at the time of enrolment.

How long do learners stay at college?

Learners can attend for up to three years.

How many days a week will I attend college?

Our programmes run five days a week.

How much work experience will I do?

Learners typically complete 2-3 days of work experience each week.

Do learners need to wear a uniform?

Yes. Learners are expected to wear their Creating Tomorrow College uniform on days when they are attending work experience or placements.

Do I need an EHCP to attend?

Yes. An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is required.

What kind of work experience will I do?

Work experience opportunities vary depending on the local labour market, employer partnerships, and the opportunities available at each campus.

What qualifications will I gain?

Learners can work towards industry-specific awards and qualifications, depending on their chosen career pathway and placement.

How will I get to college?

Transport arrangements vary by local authority. Families can apply for local authority transport or support learners to travel independently where appropriate.

Can I keep a volunteering role or part-time job while attending college?

In some cases, yes. Depending on individual circumstances, an existing volunteering role or part-time job may be recognised as part of your work experience, allowing learners to maintain their current commitments.

How long is the usual college day?

The typical college day is 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. As learners progress onto a Supported Internship, working hours may vary depending on the role and employer. If shift work is required, college staff will fully support learners through this transition.

How is Creating Tomorrow College different from school?

Learners are treated as young adults. They have more independence and are encouraged to manage their own time, make choices and take responsibility for their learning. Our approach is practical, hands-on, with a strong focus on real-world experience and preparation for employment. All learning is personalised around each learner's strengths, interests and future goals.
