Our learners recently had a fantastic time attending Future:Fest 2026 organised by SEND IASS North Northants at the Corby Cube, enjoying a day filled with new experiences, local connections, and opportunities to try something different.
While many of our students are already progressing on their own employability pathways at Creating Tomorrow College, visits like this are a valuable extension of our curriculum and enrichment offer. The event gave learners the chance to build on their existing skills, explore local businesses and services, and gain further confidence through hands-on activities in a fun and supportive environment.
Throughout the day, students took part in a range of engaging workshops and interactive sessions, including activities with Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue Service, First Aid, Virtual Reality, and trade-based experiences.

Some learners also enjoyed giving something completely new a try, including nail art and hair & beauty activities, helping them step outside of their comfort zones and discover new interests along the way.

Learners had the opportunity to meet a variety of local organisations, businesses, and community groups, helping them become more familiar with the opportunities available in their local area now and in the future.
There was plenty of excitement throughout the day too, with some students even enjoying the chance to sit in the back of a police van – a moment that certainly brought lots of smiles.

Creating Tomorrow College was also proud to have a stand at the event, where we were able to showcase the opportunities we offer to younger learners who are beginning to explore their own future options.
It was lovely to see so many familiar schools and faces, while also meeting new students, families, and professionals throughout the day.
Experiences like Future:Fest are an important part of enriching our learners’ journeys, complementing the employability pathways they are already working hard on within college.
We are proud to offer opportunities that help students grow in confidence, try new things, and continue building skills for the future.
Thank you to everyone involved for organising such a fantastic event and for having us – until next time!
