Lutterworth Learners Take Part in Inclusive PowerHouseGames at Leicester Tigers Stadium

Our learners from Lutterworth Campus recently took part in the PowerHouseGames at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, home of the Leicester Tigers, enjoying a fantastic day focused on inclusion, teamwork and participation through sport.

Delivered in partnership with Power2Inspire and the Leicester Tigers Foundation, the annual event brought together schools, colleges, charities and community organisations from across the region to celebrate inclusive sport and community connection.

A Day of Teamwork and New Experiences

Throughout the day, learners participated in a range of inclusive sporting activities on the famous stadium pitch, including rugby, football, cricket, basketball, goalball and seated volleyball. Alongside eleven other mixed teams, our learners embraced every opportunity to get involved, try something new and work together in a supportive environment.

The event also welcomed local organisations including, as well as players from the Leicester Tigers men’s and women’s squads.

Building Confidence Beyond the Classroom

For many of our learners, the day was about far more than sport. Experiences like these help build confidence, communication skills, resilience and social connection — all key parts of preparing for adulthood, independence and meaningful futures.

Our learners represented the college brilliantly throughout the day, showing positivity, encouragement and teamwork in every activity they took part in. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and willingness to step outside their comfort zones and embrace new experiences.

Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising such an inspiring and inclusive event.
